Single system solution for quantification of monoclonal
IgG and host cell proteins
    Gyrolab Bioaffy® offers a unique solution for protein quantification in biopharmaceutical process development:
  •   Gyrolab Bioaffy® 20 HC: Quantification in the g/L range, reducing the need for pre-assay dilution. Suitable for quantification of drug product or contaminants e.g. host cell proteins (HCP) in crude cell supernatants.
  •   Gyrolab Bioaffy® 200: Suitable for high sensitivity assays e.g. for quantification of contaminating proteins e.g. HCP as the purification process progresses.

IgG quantification
Gyrolab Bioaffy 20 HC in combination with the selected reagents for quantification of monoclonal IgG results in a measurement range of 1-1200 mg/L, allowing for dilution free quantification of high-concentration IgG samples.

HCP quantification
When quantifying HCP, CDs and reagents can be chosen to match the required measurement range. To achieve a high-sensitivity assay HCP quantification is performed on Gyrolab Bioaffy 200. Through a simple change of CD microlaboratories to Gyrolab Bioaffy 20 HC the upper limit of quantification is increased by a factor of 50.

Excellent correlation with HPLC
An example showing quantification of high-concentration IgG samples from a customer working with process development. Cell supernatant samples were run on Gyrolab Bioaffy 20 HC and the correlation with affinity HPLC absorbance measurements at 280 nm was excellent.
